Summary[edit] Description: English: A Double-Crested Cormorant spreads its wings to absorb the sun’s warmth at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Jan. 13, 2017. The cormorant is a common visitor to the Duck Pond on base. During the breeding season, this diving bird sports an impressive pair of fringes over each eye. Travis is host to many kinds of wildlife, including threatened or endangered species.
