Lion's mane jellyfish in Sämstad harbor 1
Description:
A small Lion's mane jellyfish (Cyanea capillata) in Gullmarn fjord at Sämstad, Lysekil Municipality, Sweden. This specimen is about 8–10 cm (3.1–3.9 in) in diameter and the tentacles are about 30–40 cm (12–16 in) long. It is partially tangled up in some bladder wrack (Fucus vesiculosus) growing on one of the cliffs by the shore. The photo was taken from this jetty.
