Description:
Description: This female Drab Wood-soldierfly was found dead in my conservatory on 6 July 2014. The location is Christchurch Park area, Ipswich, East Suffolk, TM16644502. The larvae of Solva marginata feed on rotting wood under bark and is associated with poplar trees. I believe that it is thanks to the excellent biodiversity management of Christchurch Park that this fly was living in this area.
