Summary[edit] Description: English: Title: Weka - American Fiordland Expedition, New Zealand (1949) Wekas are plentiful around the camps erected, and several have been caught stealing various objects left lying around. Members have missed their toothbrushes, shaving equipment etc, and have even caught these inquisitive birds in the tents. These pictures show a family of Wekas, parents and young inspecting an Alpine primus stove. These pictures were taken under the fly, covering the dissecting tent. Photographer K.V.
