A Bay Backed Shrike Impaling a Grasshopper onto a Thorn (49587690377)
Description:
Summary[edit] Description: I was shooting a Common Kestrel and specifically waiting for the take off shots! In the background this little bird was busy swooping down and catching its prey. It flew couple of times and then I noticed the grasshoppers. It was impaling them onto the thorns. I am not sure if it consumes them later, but it was an interesting sight to watch. Many thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated. Date: 26 February 2020, 08:56. Source: A Bay Backed Shrike Impaling a Grasshopper onto a Thorn. Author: Hari K Patibanda.
