Description:

Summary[edit] Description: Warm days, cool nights Have been preventing me from trapping regularly this week. In fact i've only tried on Monday and Thursday night this week, but hoping to fire the trap up tonight as we have had a warm day of 20 degrees again, sadly there is no cloud again. Thursday night's catch was low but quality over quantity was the order of the day, with a garden first Lunar Marbled Brown (Shame about the bald head!). And after five years of waiting! Well chuffed and surprisingly there were 9 other moths including a year first Brindled Pug in and around the trap. All of the moths came to the twin 20w Wemlite Actinic. This is a milestone for Macro Moth records in my garden as it's my 300th species so far and the 581st species of Moth recorded overall. Also the warm weather seems to have brought things out in the daytime with a Ruby Tiger spotted flying around works garden on Friday and also yesterday whilst weeding the garden, a year first Epermenia chaerophyllella was potted up.
