Long-tailed shrike (Lanius schach) intergrade between erythronotus and tricolor Bardia

Image of Lanius Linnaeus 1758

Description:

Summary[edit] Description: English: Long-tailed shrike (Lanius schach) intergrade between ssp. erythronotus and tricolor in Bardiya National Park, Nepal. Identity made by Krys Kazmierczak. For many birds the taxonomy (as set out in the scientific name) is agreed. For others, there is less certainty. Breeding between adjacent subspecies makes matters more complicated. This bird is a cross beween the Indian and Himalayan long-tailed shrikes. Date: 11 November 2019, 15:24:33. Source: Own work, from Sharp Photography, sharpphotography.co.uk.
