Dingy skipper, Forest of Dean - geograph.org.uk - 1058000
Description:
Summary[edit] Description: English: Dingy skipper, Forest of Dean In typical dull-weather mode this Dingy skipper (Erynnis tages) is perched near the top of a dead flower head in a grassy meadow (Crumpmeadow Inclosure) near a green track. This is the only butterfly to pose in this imitation of a day flying moth. The sombre (dingy) colour pattern makes a wonderful camouflage up against the dead flower head. Date: 1 June 2008.
