Description:

Summary[edit] Description: There is some controversy about this bird. Some say that the Tricoloured Blackbird is restricted to central California. However, "Birds of North America" lists its summer breeding range to north of Lake Superior and Stirling, Ontario is within this range. It is also listed as a separate species with a different size, habitat and call to a Redwing Blackbird. The Cornell Lab of Ornithology lists it as a sub-species of the Redwing.
