I have looked over the situation and believe a suitable locationfor the work can be had and would urge that the proposition begiven early attention, that we may be able to make a start propa-gating next spring: As it is well known, the propagating of the Black Bass is pastthe experimental stage and is carried on with varied success. Inmy judgment this is one of the most important of our State fishes,and ought to receive much attention, as they are a hardy fish andthrive in most of our waters. Respectfully yours, GRANT E.
