Buddy the Snail

Summary[edit] Description: English: This is a photograph taken at 21:32 of my snail-friend, Buddy. He is currently receiving rehabilitation for some damage to his* shell and exposure to pool chemicals and will be released to the wild in Northern California sometime on or around 01-Jul-2008. I am particularly fond of this picture because it captured Buddy in a fully exposed eating position, which these snails enjoy in only perfect conditions. Please note the full extension of the foot along the gripping surface and how all four antennae are extended and localized downward toward the food. Date: 25 June 2008.
