Description:

Summary[edit] Description: I am now in the Rose Garden in Chandigarh, admiring and photographing several beautiful roses in bloom in that fabulous winter weather. Detailed notes about the park appear earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). To take a break from roses, I turned my camera to this little creature which came by- an Indian Palm Squirrel. The Indian palm squirrel or three-striped palm squirrel is a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae found naturally in India and Sri Lanka. These animals spook very easily so I had to be careful not to approach too close. My defective lens which goes soft at full 200m did it's nasty stuff, which, along with oil stain on the lens filter resulted in this rather fuzzy picture. (Chandigarh, north India, Nov. 2017).
