Description:
Description: Thirteen-lined ground squirrels, Spermophilus tridecemlineatus, run rampant over the Dakota Zoo grounds. For such a "common" rodent, I sure don't see them anywhere else. I used to see them in a field once before it got developed, but other than that, I think the zoo is the only place I find them here. This one's hoping I'll throw him some more corn.
