Image of Ski-tipped Emerald
Description:
This species gets its name from the males distinctly ski-shaped cerci (claspers), especially when viewed laterally. This is my first encounter with this species, seen right in our own front yard, fifteen years ago this month (July 2015). Admittedly, the front yard on a farm can be large and habitats also productive :) Image is a scan from slide, photo taken on July 14th, 2000.
