Image of Asian Weaver Ant
Description:
These specimens appear to have overrun a sapling's leaves and branches when this photograph was taken. Even though the sapling appeared to have been flowering (given that yellow flower blossoms were found on the upper part of the plant), these ants chose to hide on the bottom branches of the said sapling. It is unclear as to why they chose to climb to such a high position, given that the branches were swaying a relatively constant breeze.
