Image of Gomphurus vastus (Walsh 1862)
Description:
This is a beautiful specimen of a mature male Cobta Clubtail in Texas. For those perhaps familiar with this species in the east, the ones in Texas are bigger (but you would expect that, right?) and more brown in the striping than the black striped eastern ones. This guy is fully mature with the emerald green eyes, etc., a beautiful beast who posed nicely for rsalinas2370, ericisley and me!
