Description:

"This is the ""Bamboo poison frog"" from formerly known as Dendrobates biolat and now reclassified. It is an extremely small range endemic to the western Amazon lowlands, restricted to patches of giant bamboo. It was just described by science in 1992. These guys spend 90% of their lives within the interior water-logged bamboo compartments. They're super fascinating--but no touching."
