The Black Land Crab is a superabundant species. For breeding, egg-laden females travel to the sea to release their eggs. This migration crosses roads resulting in tens of thousands of fatalities. The migration is truly a spectacle. We sustained two punctures from the sharp projections of crushed crabs.
