Description:
Along trail in old burned area, elevation 5,900'. Can't see the sides well to tell if there are two rows of projecting fringe scales... Stebbins and McGinnis say P. platyrhinos extends into the S. Fork of the Kern (where this photo was taken), but I think this looks more like P. blainvillii. Elevation 5,900'. We saw four of them in a two mile stretch of trail.
