Image of kereru
Description:
There is a pair of kereru we see around our house most days. Where there is one, the other won't be far behind. They fly between the tall trees around our house, particularly favouring our pohutakawa and the neighbours' flowering cherry. We have seen them on more than one occasion eating seeds off our nikau palms as well, and flowers or buds from our plum trees. Once we actually saw a third kereru trying to hang out with them.
