Description:
Holopogon snowi with prey item Dripping Springs, Hays Co., Texas 1 August 2013 This is a tiny robberfly, about 7-8 mm in length; about half the size of a common house fly. Very inconspicuous due to its size. They are fairly common in parts of central Texas and an occasional visitor to my yard. I have collected several over the past few years and they have been identified as this species by Asilidae experts.
