Image of Red-flanked Bluetail
Description:
A little colourful bird spotted while hiking in the wood of Mount Tanzawa. The warden of the Tanzawa Nature Teaching Centre helped me with the identification. The Japanese name is Ruribitaki ã«ãªãã¿ã. I was told that this bird usually lives at an elevation of about 1400 mt, quite higher than the place where I spotted it, about 830 mt.
