Image of Sword-bearing Conehead
Description:
Sword-bearing Conehead(Neoconocephalus ensiger) was found calling along the edge of the GNC tall grass prairie. This species seems to prefer the taller grasses to sing from. It was seen calling on Big Blue Stem (Andropogon gerardi). This is a fairly common species at GNC.
