Description:
Perhaps somebody in Gardening for Wildlife can tell us what this plant is! EDIT: Gooseneck Loosestrife (Lysimachia clethroides) -- thank you to Zunzuncito for the ID. It grows a couple of feet tall in a dense bed (the bed is expanding vigorously), blooming upwards along these long, graceful terminal racemes during summer. It is very popular with hymenoptera and with small butterflies like this Red-banded Hairstreak.
