Description:
Extremely large [for NZ] volute. Aperture area looks quite fresh but spire shows serious deterioration, and the common fixing of iron oxide is evident in the shell. I wonder just how old this animal was when it perished. Many decades, I'll vouchsafe, and been on the pension for several of them!
