Description:
Tetraschalis arachnodes Meyrick, 1887, Mission Beach, QLD, 18 December 2011 There has been confusion over the relationship between Trichoptilus inclitus Lucas, 1892 and Tetraschalis arachnodes. The descriptions and types for both species are similar and it seems therefore that Trichoptilus inclitus is a synonym for the earlier name. The appearance of these moths is distinctive for the genus Tetraschalis.
