Description:
This is the mighty poroporo moth (Sceliodes cordalis). Its caterpillars feed in the fruit and stems of the native New Zealand poroporo plants (Solanum aviculare and S. laciniatum). For the purists out there, note that I rotated the main image 90º clockwise. It's really sitting on a wall. (051227#005_2)
