Description:
Great White Heron This is simply a color morph of the Great Blue Heron. In the early and mid 20th century it was regarded as a separate species, but it is now treated as a Great Blue Heron. This white morph mainly occurs in Florida, but they have been recorded along the Gulf coast as gar west as Texas. This one was on Big Pine Key, Florida on 2 May 1988.
