Image of Double-toothed kite
Description:
Chick of what we identified as Harpagus bidentatus. It appeared to be healthy, but very young. It was alone over a clear patch in the woods, very close to a trail There was another chick with its parent (adult Harpagus bidentatus) with very similar characteristics and age, 300 meteres away in straight line. Compared the cere, iris and leg colors with a juvenile of the species and they match.
