Image of Double-toothed kite
Description:
My friend Dave F. and I were stunned to see a Double-toothed Kite fly over us and begin to soar when we were on a high (2000 ft. elevation) ridge overlooking Yelapa, Jalisco on the coast. Magnificent Frigatebirds were also in view. The species is essentially an Atlantic slope bird, but Howell and Webb show a few isolated records in Jalisco, Colima, and Guererro on the west coast.
