Description:
I hope to obtain a better picture tomorrow. When Peggy and I arrived at Island Lake after the 2.4 mile hike, we started scanning the entire bowl of glacial rock before us. Whenever I found a 'candidate', we would wait for some movement. We found this one atop a peak to our left. Peggy saw it move, I took these pictures, and later we could not refind it - proving it was not a rock! Here, though, in this very distant, very grainy picture, you can see the reddish striping on the face, the clear breast, the general size, the small head and bill.
