"Black and yellow garden spider's are huge. Counting their legs, I imagine they would measure close to 2 "". I started noticing more and more of them in our front flower beds by our house. Their web is very distinctive as it has a distinct zigzag pattern centered in the middle of a large orb web. We have many spider egg sacks in the bushes where the garden spiders are. Not totally certain they are all garden spider egg cases, but I know some are. Garden spider's are as beneficial as they are beautiful since they eat many garden pests."
