Image of Variegated Meadowhawk
Description:
"On June 13, 2015, we photographed a teneral male Variegated Meadowhawk (Sympetrum corruptum) at the Lake Lewisville Environmental Learning Area (LLELA), in Lewisville, Texas. This particular dragonfly is among those dragonflies that fly all year long as opposed to many other species whose ""flying"" season is far more limited. John C. Abbott's, Dragonflies of Texas (UT Press, 2015), notes however that this species tends to be far more common in ""early spring and late fall."""
