Description:
Not sure if this is the correct identification. From guide books and internet believe this is a Giant Golden Orb-weaver (Nephila pilipes). The stock photo does not seem right though and I have never heard it described as a large woodland spider. As such I have saved it as Nephila maculata which I believe is possibly an older name but was searchable. Some confirmation would be appreciated.
