Description:

This was a curious sighting. This Rock Wren, probably a migrant, had found a little dirt embankment in otherwise low flat mesquite woods and prairie-chicken habitat. He called a few times and bobbed a lot, as Rock Wrens are prone to do. Ph. at some distance with my point-and-hope camera.
