American Cockroach (Periplaneta americana) 12 September 2015: We observed a dead American Cockroach (Periplaneta americana) while walking at Avondale Park. Its body seemed to be intact but otherwise it looked like it had recently died because there were no flies or ants yet in its immediate vicinity to consume its remains. We present images to this effect in this observation. Both dorsal and ventral views are presented. Avondale Park is administered by the City of Denton, Texas.
