Description:
"We have only seen this spider dropping quickly out of the trees on a single strand of web and hanging there for long periods of time. We have never seen one in a web. This one had a body length of about 3 cm. we affectionately refer to these as 'terrifying drop spiders"" for their ability to drop in front of your nose at the most unexpected times. After some research, we determined that it was a male Neoscona crucifera."
