Image of Stream Cruiser

Description:

I now think this is a teneral Royal River Cruiser. ____ The attached photos may represent more than one individual. I watched this dragonfly for about an hour. It flew with the basket-tails, over the shrub and weeds. It would occasionally alight on a brush stalk about 1-2 feet off the ground. It was very wary, taking off as soon as I moved to approach. Even when I did get close, gusty winds prevented a clear photo. The single vertical lateral stripe seems to have a hint of yellow, but looked white or gray to my eyes. It hung at angle, not quite vertical. I never saw it land on a tree. An Oklahoma Clubtail landed near it and I was able to see that this dragonfly was significantly larger than the club tail. It may be teneral explaining the overall gray color similar to Gray Petaltail. I'm still looking through my field guides but I can't figure out what it is so far.
