Endemic to Hawaiian Islands. This is the only Myrsine species in Hawaii which grows in a dry forest - most grow in mesic to wet forests and bogs. Note reticulate pattern in leaf veins and a few ripe, purple-black drupes. Elevation of this photo around 2300ft/701m.
