Description:
Endemic to Hawaiian Islands. Photo shows new leaves which usually have some amount of pink, red or purple. As leaves mature they will become dark green and extend to 4-15cm length. This location was in a kipuka - a forest stand which is surrounded by lava flows. Elevation around 5800ft/1768m.
