Bay leaves are scattered in Mediterranean scrub in Mt Carmel and the Galilee (Israel). They bloom in March-early April. The leaves are insect repelents, so u can put them in your kitchen and have less insects around. and back to the Romans, they bay-leaves crows were sign of vistory, but they were also lice repelents!
