Seek And Ye Shall Find.
Description:
LargeSmall Tortoiseshell butterflies have been a source of frustration for me until now. Whilst not uncommon I don't see them very often and have consistently failed to get a picture. Whenever they land in my garden they promptly fold their wings. Then four days ago I saw one basking on the path past the TV mast, unfortunately there were a group of oiks nearby with their vicious dogs and I wasn't going to hang around trying to get a shot of a butterfly! Same happened the following day. Third day the oiks weren't there but the butterfly flew away as I approached. Fourth day (today) hurrah. Result above. I hope you think it was worth it, I do!
