Description:
A local variety of bottle gourd (Lagenaria siceraria, family Cucurbitaceae). This is a variety from northern Mozambique with early maturity and good palatability. Not used to make household utensils, but as food, especially important as one of the earliest foods produced in the "hungry gap".
