Omphalotus nidiformis
Description:
These fungi fit the descriptions I've found of the bioluminescent fungus, Omphalotus nidiformis. I wish I'd known what they were at the time, as it would have been worthwhile staying around to see if they glowed in the dark. Even in daylight, they made a fine display. We found some large outcroppings in a couple of places. IDENTIFYING AUSTRALIAN RAINFOREST PLANTS,TREES & FUNGI - Flick Group --> DATABASE INDEX - TAGS
