Mimicry at its best - Scorpion Tailed Spider - Arachnura spp
Description:
A master of camouflage. Perfectly mimics a piece of dry leaf complete with its stem. They stay motionless in their web and wait for an insect to trapped.Even the sharp eyed birds fail to recognise the spider in the web. This spider was on my wish list for a long time. I found her yesterday deep inside the foliage of a broad leaved plant. Frontal to top shot was impossible because of the thick foliage. She was 2.5 feet above the ground. Spider Size: 2cm approx
