Description:

Red Hartebeest (Alcelaphus caama syn: Alcelaphus buselaphus caama) in Bontebok National Park near Swellendam, Western Cape, South Africa. Photographed on 18 June 2012.There is some confusion as to whether this is a true species or a subspecies in the Alcelaphus buselaphus complex.
