Substratum: soil. Place: Adriatic Sea, island Krk, next to the road from town Krk to Baka; near the main island's rubbish dump; Kvarner archipelago, Rijeka region, Croatia EC.Comment: Smyrnium perfoliatum is an interesting plant with a conspicuous overall yellowish appearance and strangely shaped leaves, particularly the upper ones, which are almost round. The ground leaves look totally different being divided into three leaflets. The plant is a Mediterranean floral element. Yet is a quite rare on the island Krk.
