Description:
Actinidia deliciosa, kiwifruit, Chinese gooseberry (Plant, Actinidiaceae), New Zealand: NaturalisedA large kiwifruit vine high up into a tawa in a tall bush gully neighbouring a kiwifruit orchard. It has also sprawled across several smaller trees to get to where it is. The vine is probably female from what looks like young fruit in the canopy. The gully leads into a tributary of the Raparapahoe stream. We found this large plant immediately after Environment Bay of Plenty weed man John Mather stated that we wouldn't find kiwifruit in the middle of bush like this, only along the edges!Bay of Plenty, New Zealandpanorama20011210_093
