Description:
Lepidoptera eggs are the most complex in insects. They are of 2 main types: erect and - like here - flat eggs. The latter type is less abundant. The little opening (micropyle) where the sperm cells enters in the course of fertilisation is visible on the top.Bei Schmetterlingen unterscheidet mensch zwei Haupttypen von Eiern: aufrechte und flache Eier. Die meisten Schmetterlingsarten haben Eier des ersten Typs. Bei letzteren (hier) befindet sich die nabelfrmige Ausbuchtung (Mikropyle), durch die das Spermium bei der Befruchtung in die Eizelle eindringt, an der Oberseite, bei den aufrechten Eiern ist die Mikropyle auf der Rckseite (dorsal).
