Erythronium grandiflorum subsp. grandiflorum, also called Dogtooth Violet, Avalanche Lily, and Yellow Lily and no doubt other names.Both plants photographed on this date revealed the same beetle species crawling on the stamens of the plants.April 26, 2013, Salt Lake County, Utah foothills, Wasatch front, WNW facing slopes growing under extensive stands of the scrub oak form of Gambel's oak at about 5440 ft. elev
